A prepared cart is a draft, not a decision. The person buying the groceries should make the final check in the retailer's own experience before placing the order.
Confirm the product and package
Read the full product name, variant, and package size. Check fresh versus frozen, salted versus unsalted, prepared versus dry, and any dietary attributes the meal depends on.
Compare the quantity in the cart with the combined need. Look for duplicates, multi-packs, unusually small packages, and variable-weight items that deserve a closer look.
Review price and fulfillment
Prices and availability can change. Confirm each current price, the cart subtotal, fees, substitutions, delivery or pickup location, and timing directly with the retailer.
A less expensive-looking item may have a different size or fulfillment method. Resolve those differences before treating the cart total as meaningful.
Protect account choices
Check that no unintended subscription, recurring delivery, warranty, or promotional option is selected. Review items already in the account's cart so they are not mistaken for part of the dinner plan.
The household—not the planning tool—should submit checkout. If anything is ambiguous, leave the order unplaced until it can be reviewed.
